The Big D Jambouree !

Sorry about the late post and telling you about the event after it happened !! (I am still trying to work out how to use this blogpage!)But if you missed the Big D Jambouree, held at the Central Club Hotel in Richmond, Melbourne, you missed the world premier of some "Scotty Baker" original songs I have written for my upcoming album ! Backed by the fabulous muso's from the Strait 8's - Dave Cantrell on guitar, Ray Tully on drums and Attilio Snappy on doghouse bass, I ripped through 14 of my own tracks and a few hand picked covers to fill the set out. I was very encouraged with how my original songs were recieved and no sooner had I stepped off the stage than I was booked for an upcoming gig at next years Camperdown Cruise - rockabilly weekend and custom car show.(YAY!!) It was wonderful to perform at the same gigs as The Strait 8's from Melbourne, Pat Cappocci, Danny and the Cosmic Tremors and Ezra Lee down from Sydney - astounding muso's who totally rocked the joint! I am looking forward to playing with the Sydney boys again in Newcastle on the 10 July - more details to come on that one !! But the next gig I have lined up is at the Wintersun festival, which is held on the Queens birthday weekend in Coolangatta. More details on that one soon too!!

  1. Renee and I totally loved the show on Saturday night and were really glad we were able to come.
We were really impressed with how clearly we could understand the lyrics to your songs and were blown away at how strong a singing voice you have.
We found your songs not only to be catchy but some of them were also very funny....
If the chance ever arises we would love to see you sing again, or get some of your songs on CD. Great effort scotty!
